Interviews...... OMG what a Pain how to appear .. what to say. Such a Trouble. Decoded by Yogesh Nanda

This is the time of the year when a lot people after their exams start looking for jobs very aggressively. And the major thought which is bugging their mind is that “what the interviewer will ask” & “what should I say in interview”.
Let me surprise and scare you by saying that no matter how well you prepare on questions it is not going to help you. Interviewer is interested in knowing your skills and attitude more than the knowledge as knowledge is a Coachable entity.
You would agree to me that there highly knowledgeable students who end up not getting a job and there are students who bag multiple offers with just more than average knowledge. Has it ever left you with the question that “what is it all about”. Some of you may attribute it to the luck factor however being honest it is not that.  It is all about carrying the attitude and ego.
OMG what have I written  Attitude , EGO these are very negative words. Well NO these are not. We have been only brought up being coached that attitude and ego are very negative attires. However let me share this with these are just Emotions like all other emotions. What you need to take care of is how you use these emotions however you definitely have to use them.
So what can you do to improve your chances of getting selected. My answer is nothing special. You Just don’t have to do anything special unless of course if you are a technical person than obviously you need to prepare your technical stuff well other than that there is No Need to Prepare anything.
It all happens at the level of your Sub Conscious mind. You mind releases emotions basis what you believe and not what you want to do. If You are very desperate to bag that offer then your desperation makes your sub conscious mind believe that you can’t do that hence it release nervous reactions on your face which the interviewer can read very easily. If you look unsure, probably hiring manager is not going to accept you. Not just that unsure people are not liked by majority of hiring Managers.
Taking another example when after going through the Job Description, you feel that you have understood the role well and definitely you will be able to fit into the role than you will move into the interview room with a different emotion i.e confidence. In such cases your probability to getting hired increases manifolds because hiring managers like such people who knows themselves are confident about themselves.
You may have also come across a lot of people who will call it over confidence however you need to understand that for confidence to get over we need to gain it first and when we gain it we can easily manage it.
Sitting in the interview room pretending to know things which you actually don’t will not get you a job offer or even if you get you may not be able to stay in that job for long. It is advisable that very conveniently you tell them that you don’t know it at the moment however I am open to learn this and I surely will learn. This behaviour of your will create a positive feeling in the hiring Manager for you. They do not expect you to know everything all they want to know is whether you are coachable or not with right kind of skills and attitude.
I see people writing and reciting topics like “ Tell me About Yourself” etc. however if asked hiring manager is only wanting to break the ice between the two of you and want to get into conversation. So you also get into some intelligent Conversation with the interviewer and you are bound to get liked or Shortlisted.
